DSM Consulting Engineers provide steel connection calculations for all types of connections including Simple Connections and Moment Connections.
Our Engineers have extensive experience in steel fabrication and we utilise the most up to date software to provide the most efficient connection designs. All steel connection design are done so as to minimise material usage, workshop labour time and for the ease of fitting on site. Steel connection calculations can carried out to suit the details preferred by the steel fabricator.
All connections can be designed to Eurocode 3 or BS 5950
DSM was formed in 2014 and our office is based in Ballybofey, Co. Donegal and to date we have completed numerous projects in the fields of Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering. These projects have been based both locally in Donegal and across Ireland. We have also carried out works on projects in England, Scotland & Wales.

Structural Survey / Building Survey / Pre Purchase property Survey
If you are thinking of buying a new residential or commercial property it is advisable to have an Engineer carry out a Structural Survey / Building Survey on the property and produce a report on the buildings condition.
Our Structural Surveys / Building Surveys and Engineers report will identify any signs of structural defects and give recommendations on how the material defect needs to be monitored, repaired or replaced. Our Structural Engineers have over 15 years experience in carrying out Structural Surveys which helps us identify where a crack on the wall can be minor cosmetic plaster cracking due to natural settlement of the building or something more serious such as foundation subsidence or under sized structural members which are unable to carry floor or roof loadings above.
Other items which can be noted on the report is where we observe that some aspect of the building does not comply with the current building regulations.
